Satisfaction, income situation and job-perspectives of new forms of work in Vienna

  • The increasing proliferation of new gainful employment models together with the fact that neither empirically secured quantitative nor in-depth qualitative data on these types of gainful employment are available in Vienna, induced the MA27 in cooperation with the WAFF to commission the study “Satisfaction, income situation and job prospects for new gainful employment models in Vienna“.
  • The study was compiled under the direction of L&R Social Research together with the institutes SORA and abif.
  • Apart from detailed data on the quantitative proliferation of the new types of gainful employment, socio-demographic features, labour market situation, workplace dynamics, industries and economic sectors, biographic processes, work satisfaction and workloads were examined and a typology of the persons occupied compiled.
  • The focus of the study was placed on the Federal State Vienna as far as possible (e.g. within the area of the profile data) a comparison was made between the Vienna data and the Federal trend.
