Between Individual Experiences and Structural Obstacles. Young Women and STEM Vocational Education

Under the title ‘Zwischen individuellen Erfahrungsräumen und strukturellen Verunmöglichungen’ (Between individual spaces of experience and structural impossibilities), an article on the topic of ‘(Young) women and STEM training’ has been published in the new issue of the Sozialwissenschaftliche Rundschau (2024, No.1), which makes it clear that structural and institutional barriers make it difficult for young women to enter the STEM field and that favourable influences – in particular the spaces of experience and insights offered – are still subject to a certain degree of randomness.
