Laura Bassi 4.0 Network Digital Inclusion and Participation Working Group

The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), supported by ÖGUT and Joanneum Research, has initiated the establishment of the “Digitalisation and Equal Opportunities” network. This network accompanies the FFG programme Laura Bassi 4.0. The central questions are: What factors lead to digital inequality and how can these be dealt with?

L&R Social Research participates in this network, Nadja Bergmann heads the working group “Digital Inclusion and Participation”. Together with colleagues from Volkhilfe Wien, the Science Center Network, the Austrian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence, FEM Süd and the Institute for Digital Participation, a survey on the topic of “Digital Inclusion and Participation” was conducted among NGOs, researchers and strategic actors in the field of digitalisation. The results were presented and discussed at the 5th Laura Bassi 4.0 Network Forum “Digitalisation and Equal Opportunities: How do we create digital inclusion and participation” 2023? In addition, a short paper with the key findings was prepared.
