Gender equal working time

  • This study on behalf of the Department for Promotion and Coordination of Women’s Issues of the city of Vienna contains on the one hand the results of the theoretical discussion of the abstract concept of gender-specific working hours as well as their general conditions (legal foundations and negotiation processes), which were gained from literature analysis and expert interviews.
  • On the other hand, the report contains an evaluation of operational case examples, which provide insight into the practice of handling working hour models on an operative level.
  • A representation of working hour regulations in selecting companies completes the study.
