Evaluation Study on the Mentoring Program for Women Academics and Scientists at the University of Vienna (muv5)

The mentoring program of the University of Vienna (muv) is one out of several measures being implemented in order to accelerate the promotion of women and gender equality in the academic field. muv is designed as interdisciplinary small group mentoring. Young ademics gain strategic knowledge as well as access to career networks.

The fifth turn of muv (muv5) took place in 2011/2012, having 6 mentors and 17 mentees taking part. The evaluation study wanted to reflect on the suitability of the program for the participants’ needs and expectations and asked for the personal benefits for the participants. The methodic tools applied during summer 2012 were a short questionnaire as well as personal interviews.
