Effects on gender equality of services of the Public Employment Service Austria

Against the background of existing inequalities on the labour market, the PES has set policy objectives aiming to enhance equality between women and men. The study at hand shall examine the effects on gender equality of PES services. The results will be differentiated not only by gender, but also age groups, migrant background, level of education and the fact of having children. A focus lies on the situation after participating in a PES measure to be able to detect specific equality effects in everyday life.

Methodically the study works with administrative data as well as empirical data based on a survey among 500 PES customers.
