Accompanying evaluation of new employment projects for people with health impairments without the opportunity to receive invalidity pension

In the last years different measures were implemented in Austria to keep people with health impairments in employment for longer and to avoid illness-related pensions. Since 2014 temporary invalidity pensions for persons under the age of 50 are replaced by rehabilitations and vocational training. Against this background, the Public Employment Office Upper Austria started two socio-economical employment projects for job-seekers with health impairments in the year 2013.

L&R is now commissioned to evaluate those employment projects named “Smartwork” and “Triga”.
