Gender Mainstreaming in Vienna – Basics, Concept, Options

Contents: Development of an implemental concept Gender Mainstreaming for the municipal authority of Vienna with specific focus on innovations and implements of administrative modernization as well as developing concrete options for implementation. As a basis an extensive literary analysis about chances and risks for the policy of assimilation in status was made in the process of administrative reforms and national as well as international examples of Gender Mainstreaming implementation in administrations where researched and documented in detail. The options were elaborated in workshops with the office for women’s issues, at the same time and concluding information events took place in the municipal authority of Vienna.
