Follow-Up: Consulting focusing on questions concerning the implementation of gender mainstreaming in Vienna

Contents: In 2002, under the commission of the Women’s Office of the City of Vienna an implementation concept for gender mainstreaming was worked out. Based on this concept further consulting and development activities were initiated in 2003 to reinforce gender mainstreaming approaches. To implement gender mainstreaming workshops with selected departments of the Vienna City Council (Gemeinde Wien) were carried out in 2003. Furthermore, content and conceptional proposals for the design of a gender mainstreaming homepage for the Vienna City Council (Gemeinde Wien) were worked out and summarised under „Frequently Asked Questions on Gender Mainstreaming“, which are available and can be accessed on the Women’s Office’s homepage http://www.frauen.wien.at .
