Hungarian cross-border commuters in Austria

On behalf of EURES-T Pannonia a study on the structure of Hungarian cross-border commuters on the Austrian employment market was undertaken. In addition to an analysis of the employment market data, interviews with 10 Hungarian cross-border commuters working as daily commuters in Austria were conducted. Topics of the study were:

  • motives for economic migration
  • working situation and working conditions in Austria
  • experiences with Austrian workplaces
  • counselling needs of Hungarian cross-border commuters
