2010 manuals on labour force and qualification needs in the nine Austrian provinces

The 2010 manuals focused on the needs development regarding professions in the Austrian provinces. For the 15 most important professions, the qualification needs formulated by the companies were additionally analyzed. Furthermore the manual contains an overview of topics that constitute the most important future internal and external further education themes for the companies, as was the case for the manuals 2006 and 2008. For the demanded qualifications, the respective course offer was processed and possible extensions of the course offer were suggested. By taking into consideration results of the AMS (Public Employment Service Austria) Standing Committee on New Skills, needs that will be of growing importance in the future were set out.

A company survey on employee and qualification needs conducted by the AMS formed the data basis of the manuals. The survey included companies with more than 20 employees. These companies can be regarded as trendsetters in the qualification field regarding the dynamic change.
