National expertise for Austria within the framework of the Network of Experts in the Field of Gender Equality (ENEGE)

ENEGE’s aim is to contribute to the development of comprehensive European-level policies on gender equality based on the current European policy framework.

Working as a knowledge broker for the most relevant European and international research on gender equality, ENEGE advises and supports the European Commission in the analysis of gender equality policies, reforms and their implications at European and national level.

ENEGE’s main tasks are:

• Delivery of country fiches on gender equality and brief analysis of the Europe 2020 National Reform Programmes (NRPs);
• Production of thematic reports;
• Production of research reviews for policy makers;
• Targeted advice to the Commission;
• Organization of seminars for EU officials;
• Mapping of experts on gender equality.
