Individual entrepreneurs in Austria – current status and developments

In the context of this project, L&R Social Research explored the problem of the poor data situation on individual entrepreneurs (EPU) in Austria and carried out a primary survey among individual enterprises in Austria. The project was conducted in form of a telephone survey and had a representative character. The database consisted of active members of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber from the current list of 452,252 Austrian companies and data on new self-employed persons from the Main Association of Social Insurance Institutions. A final report was drawn up which, in addition to background information and motives for setting up a company, also deals with the labour, social security and financial situation of the EPUs surveyed in Austria.

The overall project was carried out as part of a consortium consisting of L&R Social Research, Forba, Educult and Joanneum Research.
