Talk about IT! To Design Digitalisation Participatory: Gender-appropriate and Diverse

Often, the change processes that are considered necessary by digitalisation in companies (in terms of work processes, work equipment) are pushed ahead without the involvement of the employees. The aim of the project is therefore to develop participatory approaches (analog and digital) in order to actively design digital change processes in the interests of the employees and to pay particular attention to a balanced participation of women and men. Together with employees, works council members, personnel, IT and / or gender officers gender- and diversity-equitable approaches to participation are developed and discussed. Therewith, the responsible digitalisation officers and the works councils are to be given design tools for current and future change processes.

The project was carried out in cooperation with

  • Cornelia, Gerdenitsch and Anke Schneider from AIT, Austrian Institute of Technology,
  • Proponents of the dialogue series “Shaping digitalisation”: Ingrid Moritz, AK Vienna, Traude Kogoj, ÖBB and
  • with the active participation of ÖBB Holding, Wiener Hafen/Wien Cont, Vienna University of Technology as part of the operational case studies.

The project was funded by the Digitalisation Fund of the Chamber of Labour of Vienna.
