The Amendment to the Disabled Persons Employment Act (BEinstG), BGBl. I Nr.111/2010, which came into force on 1 January 2011, contained measures to facilitate the integration of persons with disabilities on the employment market. Among these measures are the loosened dismissal protection and a scaled increase of compensatory taxes for non-complying employers. In the framework of the evaluation, the effects of this amendment on the employing and dismissing behaviour of the companies and on the employment situation of persons with disabilities are studied.
