The European Parliament has commissioned a study to evaluate, by referring to the data of 5 Member States, whether a progress of the EU can be observed concerning the pursuit of gender equality in line with the EU-wide equality objectives (in the context of the so-called EU2020 Strategy) and which policy recommendations can be made based on the outcome of this study in order to further enhance this process. Austria was chosen as one of these 5 Member States. The responsibility of L&R Social Research was to elaborate the content expertise for this comparative analysis for Austria.
